If we stand on thresholds together
Every life holds a story worth telling.
We know those nearing the end of life have deep wisdom to share. We create space for them to share their insights.
We offer storytelling services and invite you into a larger project of curiosity and discovery.
Compassionate writing, photography, audio recording, visual art & more
Every person has a Voice —and we believe the voice from the threshold is potent.
We offer personalized end-of-life storytelling services that support individuals and families as they reflect and celebrate the journey of a life lived. These stories hold meaningful lessons for all of us as we navigate what it means to be human in the modern world.
Whether you are nearing the threshold of death or walking with a loved one, we provide a gentle space for sharing deep truths, purpose, and questions.
Basic Storytelling Sessions
One-on-one guided conversations to explore a person’s journey, memories, milestones and insights. We will work with their particular biography in a compassionate and sensitive way, encouraging them to express the deepest work and purpose of their life. These sessions may include simple audio recording and photography.
Creative Keepsake Projects
Through a series of developed one-on-one sessions and interviews with family members and friends, we will help to create a larger keepsake project. Turn stories into beautifully edited books, audio recordings, photo archives, and/or visual art prints to be shared with family, friends, and future generations. The goal is to create something tangible, a memento that is a bright expression of a person’s spirit for others to hold.
Grief & Memorial Support
We work with families and caregivers to craft tribute stories or memorial content that honors the voice and spirit of their loved one. We can write or help you write a eulogy, form a creative project to share at a service, or provide a funeral officiant if needed. We periodically offer grief circles as a community space for healing.
The Thresholds Project
We are building up work to share more broadly in a yet-to-be-decided format. We have begun conversations with folks who are 90+ years old, digging into their wisdom by exploring their most meaningful moments and what they see for humanity going forward. We invite you to join our community of interest by signing up to receive updates on this project:
